Wolverine, Iron Man, and Captain America just can't compete with the history of Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, and Flash. Marvel makes better movies but DC makes better comics, cartoons, games (thanks solely to Batman's Arkham games but still..), and toys. |
I'm pretty sure the three Iron Man movies + The Avengers pushed Iron Man into the "everybody knows him" category, not to mention the others.
Aside from Batman and Superman, Wolverine is bigger than anyone else DC can muster. How many of DC's A-listers can claim they were being put front and center of comic book issues they didn't even appear in, along with a legal disclaimer?
