Shouldn't the game variety be judged upon the games that has been announced so far? It's fascinating that the OP is judging solely on history for that part since I would wager that project spark, KI, Forza, Ryse and so forth shows a diverse library from start. You can still feel that Sony has the better offering, but there is no question that MS is offering a diverse collection of games.
Personally, I think the X1 exclusives look slightly better than the PS4 ones, but that is just a matter of personal taste :).
