With all the stupid shit Square Enix has done, this is a company that you can't put anything past them.  Dragon Quest: Final Fantasy, Tomb Raider: Final Fantasy, Hitman: Final Fantasy?  Totally believable that they'd do something like that.

I'm getting Bravely Default and hopefully it's actually good.  We know how good the last dozen or so Final Fantasy titles have been, and by that I mean sub par.  Oh wait.  It's not Final Fantasy.  My mistake.  We know how good Square Enix Japan's last dozen or so games have been.  Better?

I don't know what to say. You really think Square would do that with the Eidos titles? What are you accusing them of? The real FF titles you mentioned up there is because Chocobo is a part of the franchise and the other ones is just like what Nintendo has done. They just reuse the name because it could fit.

The reason this one isn't called FF is because it isn't published by Square.
