Just curious. Didn't the same thing happen with Mass Effect 1? I mean, I remember hearing that ms funded it and that's why they couldn't release it on ps3 when the second came out and had to make a comic to tell the new gamer the story. Then a while later, the trilogy came out. If it was funded by ms, how did that happen? I don't think either one of your statements is a fact. Yes, it's because of Ninty that a sequel is possible, but that doens't mean that a sequel would never have been made through diffrent funding, especially consideing how successful Kickstarter has been. As for the second sentence, again it might be true, but we've seen in the past equally weird things happening, unless I'm missing something.

That's a great point. I have no idea what happened to ME exclusivity. And just to side track, why the heck didn't MS just buy Bioware? Anyway, I too believe in the possibility it could cross over to PS4/XB1. I just know for a fact that someone high up once said RE4 would NEVER hit PS2. Well look what happened. 

Exclusivity is such a fleeting concept. 

Mass Effect did not exist solely because of Microsoft's funding.
