Each FF game is set in a different universe whereas Bayonetta 1 and 2 are linked. That, and FF only switched to Sony after a generation leap, a beginning of a radically different approach which Sony excelled through, the 3D era.
Bayonetta switching to Wii U doesn't make sense. I think it's a bad move for both the fans and the game. And hardly good news for Nintendo.

for the love of... Bayonetta 2 would not exist without Nintendo. It was not going to be made, Ninty stepped in and funded it. What part of this dont you understand?

thank you,saying it'll flop is one thing debatable(even tough it might), but blaming nintendo is probably the worst thing gamers can say this generation. Nintendo saved it, no matter if it sells 1,000 units lifetime, tats 1,000 more than wat it would be if nintendo never stepped up! Thats for looking at the whole picture Oni!
