Looks like the only system the 3DS will be able to overtake next year is the SNES. The next system is at 61 million and may be too far away.

I'm on here most days either just lurking and enjoying the crazy back and forths coming from Ps4 and X1 fans, it's nice to see the Wii-u is avoiding fire atm since both sides so wrapped up in killing each other hah.

Im the same way, not concerned with the fanboy wars much. Its surprising that the SNES, a console that had so many games sell so little.

it had a ton of great games but I remember there was quite a bad feeling towards gaming as a whole during the earlier generations, it definately was a lot less main stream and accepted as a passtime for so many as it is today. I'm sure if the general feeling towards gaming today existed while the SNES/Megadrive were around they would have sold a hell of a lot more.... and also would have had more FPS's than Zero Tolerence and Doom hahah.

Ah very true. The potential userbase was much smaller than now, which bodes well for the future I suppose. I still remember beating my first RPG on the SNES, Earthbound.
