By this account, we really shouldn't be comparing any system with each other. People keep talking about Wii U vs Gamecube or Wii U vs Dreamcast... but in the end, wouldn't it be the same either way? It simply wouldn't mean anything. It would mean that we would have to look at the Wii U standing alone.
Also, people keep bringing up "X year old console beating weekly sales"
That is just sensational talk. It really means nothing as long as they are still relevant.
