I never backpedaled on anything. I stated the Move is revolutionary, not the Vita. On a concrete gaming level the Move/ Eye combo is has exponential gaming development potential oppose to the Kinect which is stuck in minigame land (even with Kinect 2.0...just watch Sony was right). Sony even stated this is why they had issues with the first PS Eye even though they saw the products potential making its debut back in 2004. They knew its draw backs.

Move Dev Diary 1 (Its a short six part series talking about the depth of the potential)

Unlike the Vita the Move has actually sold quite a few units (over 10 million I believe). Sony profited off of the device, but they never created a killer app for it. The Vita and the Move don't sell amazingly because they don't have Killer apps to represent the peripheral themselves and encourage third party support and longevity. Instead of tearing down a great product that "no one gives a crap" about, figure out why they don't.

Sonys problem outside of the main console hardware has never been tech development, but rather content for the devices that are not the main console itself.

Not saying you did backpedal. I am saying if I linked the thread, you would. That is common knowledge though so who cares. You can say that stuff about potential about virtually anything on the market. Until there is proof we can see and play, it's BS. There is nothing mindblowing on the Move. It is, as you said about Kinect, a collection of minigames, with the occasional thrown in support in traditional games. Just like Kinect.

It's cute the way you always make it seem with the Move that Sony could just whip up a killer app to revolutionize gaming and sell the thing like hotcakes but meh... they just don't feel like it. I mean hey lets just rely on 3rd party companies to take advantage of this "revolutionary" add-on we released for the console and spent a lot of R&D money on. Makes a lot of sense.

I know why no one gives a crap about the Vita. It's an expensive handheld that plays watered down console ports and has laughably overpriced memory cards. I saw a guy spend $55 on a 16GB card yesterday. Yikes. And I know why no one gives a crap about the Move. It is a reactionary product too expensive and too much like the Wii, which people were already growing tired of.

Your bias is as blinding as the sun. Did you even watch the videos? The R&D video series shows you the 3D and environmental control of the Move/PSEye Combo. The video shows you the pinpoint accuracy of the camera coupled with the move. They don't need to waste their money making the most powerful camera on earth because they made the sensor tracking in it perfect at 1:1 with a controller that allows you to move within the world. Lets see people play Halo 4 with the Kinect. Its not even on par with the Move/PSEye combo in terms of actual capabilities.

The Move was in R&D years before the Wii U launched. They immediately started working on it the second the the first Eyetoy launched in 2004, you will see it if you research the move.

As for the Vita, as much as I love the tech...it draw backs are marketing, the price of its memory stick (which was dropped at Gamescom) and hot IP's and proper third party support due to a low installed base. Sony needs to create a cast of characters, get children acquainted with them in pop culture (like Mario and the Nintendo characters) and use them as a selling point for their portable. Give people games they cannot find elsewhere. This was the charm of the original Gameboy and continues to be the charm of Nintendos handhelds, which still are their bread and butter. I cannot defend Sony on their handheld and I wont. If they do somethng wrong, they were just wrong and they know it too. Using indy titles wont save them. Just because they have powerful hardware, doesn't mean they cannot make quality exclusive content for it. They are overworking themselves past their resources so they need third party intervention.
