Now that the Vita had a price drop, will the Wii U still be able to catch it this year?

Wii U price drop, new bundles, Zelda, Mario, Donkey kong, etc. Going to have  a big holiday and lets not forget that Vita shelf space is nearly gone, but the wii u still has a whole section. It will be hard for parents to ignore it this time around.
