There are a few rumors that nintendo will add an account system to 3DS and WiiU before the end os this year.

Thanks for the info. I hope it's true. If they add trophies/achievements as well I kid you not, I'll get both 3DS and Wii U ASAP.

There's really no guarantee at all for that. I feel that Nintendo feels there would be no reason to implement something like that. But who knows, maybe a trophy/achievement system could come, but I wouldn't count on it. The account system thing, though, is very likely. I hesitate to say guaranteed because I don't have a source.
