Judging from the preorder numbers before it went multiplat it wasnt that many people, this game was never gonna be as big as people thouhgt. Even if people opt for the better version how much people have a Wii U and PS3/360/Vita or PC combo? Hell how much people have Wii U period? Not that many. No one is buying a WIi U to play a slightly better version of a game then can already play. The Wii version of Origins STILL sold less than eithe PS3 or 360 version despite Wii being more platformer friendly, bigger install base AND it was cheaper. How does one explain that? |
My explanation would be that it came out when Wii was all but forgotten, when the support had died down so much from the console that most people moved on from it.
