If you were to believe all of the post and news article, then a lot of people thought that Sony was going to bring out these bombs that would shock and awe MS into a cave for years. Probably most of the disappointment is that people was expecting way to much after E3 and since Sony had a conference for what they showed the expectations were set pretty high.
