The answer to why Wii U didn't got Minecraft is simple: it's a console made by Nintendo.

It has nothing to do with needing to add specific features for the Wii U version. They could only put a map there and call it a day. If it was about the trouble of adding functions, then a Vita version also wouldn't be made, since it has a touchscreen and a touchpad.

There is no butthurt. Nintendo's victimhood is well-established by process of elimination on the irrational moves of third parties large and small across the board.
