Rare and Factor 5 both got dumped as sales of their games declined. Silicon Knights was let go after both ED and MGS: TS didn't perform great either. Left Field was also let go as 1080 Avalanche didn't perform all that great. Nintendo tends to cut bait quickly if they view a development partner as a declining or non-profitable asset.
If Bayonetta 2 does not pull in a tidy profit for Nintendo, my guess is that's the last of Nintendo working with Platinum.
