| JGarret said: Smeags, I don´t doubt this game will be fun, but I think the main problem some people are having with the game is this: regardless of how fun it turns out to be, it only seems to be an 'expansion' of the 3DS game..a bigger, better version of it, and not something really new.I wasn´t expecting, nor I wanted, a 'Galaxy 3'.. I wanted something 'new', Galaxy felt fresh when compared to Sunshine, and Sunshine felt fresh when compared to Mario 64, and I´m not getting that vibe from 3D World. The feeling gets worse because it´ll be the second Wii U Mario game that feels more like an expansion than a fresh experience..NSMBU let me down because of how similar it feels to NSMB Wii, they reused so many assets it left a 'meh' feeling as far as I´m concerned.I was let down because where was the Nintendo that made SMB, SMB2, SMB3 and SMBW so different from one another (different music, different worlds, etc..)?...despite the very good platforming and level design in NSMBU, I couldn´t help but get a "they´re being lazy" feeling...and now I´m wondering if I´m getting the same feeling with this new Mario game, which would make it twice in a row. Of course, I´m speaking for myself, and I´m not asking you to agree with me, I just want to know if you can see where I´m coming from. |
both are 3d marios where you go from point a to point b of a level, instead of geting a star but considering galaxy's linearity, it's not much different.
anyway, what makes the game is the level design between point A and B, wich I'm sure will be awesome. with nintendo's track record, we'll get an amazing game and I can't see why people would complain.
