Is multiplayer crippling Mario 3D World's level design?

Those have been replaced by Galaxy. As we can see from this thread, "single player 3D Mario" and "Galaxy" are synonymous.

Yeah but even with Galaxy it's still not the same as a Mario 64 or Banjo type game, because aside from a few worlds most Mario Galaxy levels are linear, and there's no real sense of exploration the way there was with the N64's 3D platformers.
