Japan's FTC investigates 2 panel makers
Nintendo spokesman Yasuhiro Minagawa said it was too early to comment on the impact of the allegations or whether to consider changing panel suppliers.

if this is true, and the flat panel prices do come down, a DS price drop would be quite easy, if nintendo so chooses to. not much detais unfortunately.
