There ( if your not blinkered to the industry as it was last gen ) is your 1000's of unreleased PS4 games that are only released on The One because Microsoft have cut WAY in front of PS4 by takig out the need to spend, taken out the need to get a publisher.

 

• Also until recently you do know that you needed a publisher to make a game on the XboxOne, even though Sony had already done away with this ages ago. Xbox is trying to follow Sony with it's indie devs as they screwed up so much.

 

So now an Indie dev need $499, free software and can now self publish. Unless Sony give Indie devs PS4 dev kits free, they cant compete with that. Let alone modding.

 

• So if you had bothered to read my previous posts you will know that Sony is giving Dev kits out to people for FREE. You can continue to ignore that if you wish, as you seem very blinkered.

 

Alot of Sony fans seem to cling to last generations mechanics. They dont seem to be very open minded or think out of the box. Unusual for a crowd who claim to like out of the box game ideas.

As far as i understand it, there is no cost to a PS4 devkit, as long as you are a company making a game (of reasonable quality) you can get hold of one. So please give me a link to the indie dev who paid £10k for one. You make a statement please quantify it.

I recommend you use the internet more, use Twitter and follow Shahid Kamal Ahmad -  you might actually learn something about indie dev on the PS4/Vita. You may be shocked to find in terms of quality indies (that's what matters right) - Sony are well ahead at the moment. Of course if you have a MS twitter guy who is dealing with indie devs the same as Shahid, please share it.
