This thread didn't put down Nintendo or Sony....that is what most "fanboys" do when praising their favourite. This was just a pure X1 thread arguing its merits. Somehow, the idea of liking the X1 for what it is "does not compute" and the idea of liking it seems ridiculous. Therefore, they must come off as a fanboy......

Its that mindset, that unwillingness to see that your console isn't desired by everyone and that people actually want something you yourself don't like. It was a total misuse of that "F" word. It was improper labelling and it was condasending.

I embrace my bias, and I will openly debate with others. But I will never look down on someone for holding a opposite view and I will always be open minded enough to see the pros of the competition. Think thats my secret to why I haven't been banned in a couple months, at least.

Truth is that you haven't been banned because you are not as bad as some people choose to believe. I have always enjoyed bullshitting with you.

As for the rest of it, especially in the case of the use of the word fanboy, the TC retorted by calling Dr. Grass a fanboy as well. In that case the mod should have just left it alone. It wasn't really that out of control that action was necessary. That is what I believe.

 

I think the topic would have been much better if it stuck to things being readily available this holiday season. That would have been the best way to avoid people trying to pick your arguments apart. Doesn't matter what forum or subject people are discussing, people will always find a way to rebut it if you leave the door wide open for them to do so.
