10k sales are still terrible. Like, point-and-laugh levels of bad. And is that really the UK grading system? How bad do you have to be to fail any class?! o_O

In Austria we have similar standards for grades, but we don't use the multiple choice system like the USA (I assume you do). Multiple choice allows you to guess your way through, but over here you either know the answer or you don't. It goes without saying that this makes it considerably harder to get a high percentage of answers correct.

My cell bio class over the fall will have no multiple choice tests. All are essays and a 50% is a C in this particular class because of how tough it supposidly is.

Marquettes grading scale is as follows:

100% - 95% = A (4.0GPA)
94% - 90% = AB (3.5GPA)
89% - 85% = B (3.0GPA)
84% - 80% = BC (2.5 GPA)
79% - 75% = C (2.0GPA)
74% - 70% = CD (1.5GPA)
69% - 65% = D (1.0GPA)
64% - 0% = F (0.0GPA)

Obviously the teachers can grade on a curve. But not all of the give multiple choice. In fact my chem class was multiple choice for exams but lab, homework, participation accounted for a good chunk of the grade.
