The very first thing me and my classmates were told when we started our masters was: "To all Americans who are used to getting 90+, forget about it. If you were a straight A, top of the class student, you should be content with a 70 here". As a tutor, the highest grade I've given was a 72 and trust me at least 20% of our students (in my department) are Americans. For a student to fail, they need to get lower than 40%. All I'm hearing is that y'all demand way less over there than you should. "Should be content with a 70"? Might as well tell a gamer he should be enjoying casual games. I've never heard such gibberish in my life...
