Still waiting on that proof that shows that vgchartz numbers are close to being accurate. How the hell are you even going to prove that?

What's this? LTD shipment totals for the 3DS based on Nintendo's own numbers showing 32.48 million consoles shipped as of the end of this June?

Well, by golly, VGChartz shows 32.14 million 3DS consoles sold as of the end of this June!

Those two numbers sure are pretty "close" with an appropriate difference to account for consoles still on shevles, wouldn't you say? After all, it's impossible to sell more than you've shipped, and it's improbable that the number of consoles currently sitting on shelves is greater than the number shipped during the last quarter (1.39 million).

VGChartz regularly retrofits numbers to match shipped numbers. Remember the GT5 numbers?

Also, that doesn't show us how accurate the sales numbers are. It just shows us that the vgchartz sales numbers are close to the official shipped numbers. And since we do not know what the actual sales numbers are...

Of course they do. If they didn't adjust their numbers to account for new information, everything would be total guesswork. The fact that they retroactively change their numbers is what makes them somewhat reliable.

You didn't ask for proof that VGChartz numbers are accurate. You asked for proof that they are CLOSE to accurate. And this proves that. After all, if the 3DS wasn't selling in the first half of this year, why did Nintendo ship more consoles? How have they managed to convince retailers to buy over 32 million consoles if they haven't sold CLOSE to that amount?

Just admit that it has been proven that VGChartz numbers are close to accurate in the matter of LTD 3DS hardware sales. That's a simple thing.
