Shin’en has a couple of Wii U games in development, and both of those games take advantage of the Wii U’s eDRAM and special graphics capabilities. Shokio from GaminRealm reached out to Shin’en to discuss the matter through a series of tweets.

@ShinenGames Shin’en, huge fan of you guys here. What exact month can we expect your guy’s new game announcements this Fall?

@Shokio_YT Well, we would love to show first images along with the announcements. So as soon our 2nd gen Wii U engine is ready

@ShinenGames @Shokio_YT What kind of improvements are you making with your 2nd gen Wii U engine? Can’t wait to see it in action!

@MaxWill37699872 We’ve gone deferred+HDR. Very simple and fast on WiiU because all renderTargets fit in EDRAM.

@MaxWill37699872 NAN used forward rendering because we were afraid deferred would be too slow for 60fps. Fortunately it works great on Wii U
Looks like Shin’en next Wii U game might have the best graphics on the system outside of Monolith Soft’s X.
