It doesn't matter. Point is, the games will still sell and other games releasing around the same time doesn't take away from their quality, thus it's perfectly reasonable for people to get excited for them. I mean you flat out said, "I don't see why anyone would be hyped for them." and I gave you an explanation, even if other games outsell them doesn't take away the quality of the games, nor sales, nor reception from the actual fans. This is a thread about the 3DS stealing the spotlight from the Xbone and PS4. And on the software side, those consoles won't have any slice of the spotlight. I named three games that will outsell their entire catalogue this Christmas. You can be hyped for whatever you want, but the number of people upgrading to a PS4 or Xbone this Holiday is going to be fewer than the number of people playing Pokémon X or Y alone, never mind the rest of the 3DS lineup. We "hardcore" gamers are pretty hyped for new consoles. The market is hyped for games.
I don't know why you bring up the quality of the games or the reception from fans. They have nothing to do with this thread.
