| JinxRake said: If this is true, than Microsoft really is running scared. Think about it...everything they've been doing in the past few weeks has been only reactionary. The DRM reversal, indie policies, rumors on final specs...it's fun to watch actually. Great for the XBox One adopters, but tremendously funny for the rest of us. |
You are right and you know what, there is nothing wrong about it. I rather these companies run scared and try to win me over and developers with everything they got then act cocky and sure about their approach. We have seen what cocky can do for MS and Sony, who needs them to go back to that way of thinking. Everything you see today from Sony is because the cocky got punched right out of them. What you see from MS is the same. They got a good wiff of success last generation and thought they knew it all. They got humbled and scared and thats they way I like it. I hope they stay scared because it will mean more decision based on winning customers. I hope Sony stays scared as well. If you thinki Sony is running on confidence you are wrong. They are scared because they do not want another PS3. They do not want another generation where they can not even break even. They want that first place position and they are willing to make the moves to do it.
While you find it funny, I see it as something great. This is the way competition should be, this is the reason you should be happy that MS, Sony and to a lesser extent Nintendo play on the same field. They will hone each other and the consumer will benefit and reap the rewards.
