While FF6 was awesome, but this was probably more because of Kitase and not Ito, since Kitase worked on FF7, 8, and 10 which are the other awesome Final Fantasy games.

FF12 had potential, it could be seen, but the game ended up becoming a terrible and boring mess which is likely because of conflict between the true genius on the project, Yasumi Matsuno, and the other guy who was Ito.

FF9, while the art was of great quality, was overall a lazy and unimagintive game. The dungeons were long, repetitive, and grindy. The game world was empty and boring with very few interesting locations. The story and setting were highly conservative rather than being cutting edge and ground-breaking like every other game in the series to that point. The game flow was like FF7's "follow the white haired guy around the world!" But FF9's was no where near as rich and twisting of an experience as FF7's - FF7 was like Fight Club; and FF9 was like a Fight Club remake starring Ryan Reynolds, without the split personality or any of the grit that made Fight Club a true classic.

So why do I want Ito directing any Final Fantasy game?

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
