It seems to be an "action" game, unrelated to the 4 visual novel tie-ins by Nitroplus.

Where'd you read that? Spike does a ton VNs, so that would be the expectation. Will be hard to do a true SnK action game, especially on 3DS.

I think it would be pretty easy if it used the Circlepad Pro.

L - Left Hook
R - Right Hook
L+R - Both Hooks
Left Stick - Move your character
Right Stick - Move the Crosshair
A - Attack
B - Jump
Y - Dodge
X - Special
Select - Change Blades
D-Pad - Maybe use items (idk what items would fit in the game)

These are basically the controls of the fan game (Attack on Giants) I mentioned earlier if you use a gamepad to play it. The controls work pretty damn flawless.

Was talking more about the scale the game would require on the hardware. To do it even remotely right, you'd have to be on stronger hardware (perfect world it'd be on a console).
