Don't worry, at least one other person on this site cares about spark ;)

I can't watch the video yet but this game looks great. My only worry is that it really only works when you do what the devs expect you to. The greatest thing about LBP was that user created levels got so advanced that lots of times you can't tell they have sackboy origins. I'm hoping for the same depth with spark.

One of the things that I think looks really good about it, is you can adjust the complexity.  I haven't played little big planet, so I don't have a reference to that game.

But I remember making custom versions of Castle Wolfenstien 3D, Some D&D Underground level maker (I think it was for the Amiga) and several others.  Including coding my own games back in the day.

If they can pull off the scaling complexity - so it's easy to make a game, or more open to a super challenging game, then I predict huge win in gaming.  But I will hold back final judgment until I get to play it for a while.

Finally had time to watch the video. It's looking really good! Reminded me of Unreal mixed with gamemaker lol.

What I was meaning with LBP is with the first game user created levels were great, but they could never escape their sackboy heritage. For example this is one of the better user made levels that tried to be more than just LittleBigPlanet.

It tries to be Mario (something it's not) but it's still very obviously Sackboy.

With LBP2 and LBPV things got a million times better. Games could be made that had nothing to do with traditional LBP.

The only feelings of LBP are in the score bubble. Other LBP2 and LBPV levels are just as non LBP.

I'm fairly worried that Spark will be stuck in the same way the first LBP was. For example I doubt they will let us model and rig our own characters or create our own character animations.
