I hadn't seen this one before.  I still don't completely understand the game, the gauging of complexity will greatly determine how much fun it is for the masses.  It looks like you will be able to scale the level of complexity you want to add to the game.  It could really be fun, as I remember my friends and I designed levels for Shadow Magic, Heroes of Might and Magic, and other such games.

I think Spore suffered because the changes really didn't do much.  Example I wanted to stay longer on one of the levels, and evolve my creature in a specific way.  Nope, didn't let me go beyond a set level, which wasn't that high. It was too simple.

The other games designed, are so challenging, sometimes it feels like it would be better served to get a job writing games.  They are so hard, few people want to play it.

Also, it reminds me a little of 'From Dust' which I still don't understand why they haven't added an 'open sandbox' level.

This looks cool.  Looking forward to trying it out:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2VGs6TwPoI

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
