What I would suggest is getting a portable battery, and using it with a USB charger. Like this:
Here's a small pocket size battery charger, capacity is 2600 mAh
Or, here are some bigger and higher capacity batteries with multiple USB ports
If that's just not enough for you, this guy has a whopping 15000 mAh
The regular 3DS has a battery capacity of 1300 mAh. With a battery charger of 8000 mAh or more, you would be able to fully charge your 3DS several times.
I think it's your best bet. You get many hours of extra playtime, but the only downside is you might have to play your 3DS while it is charging on a somewhat clunky external battery. It might not bother you, and you could put the charger in your pocket or backpack or something while charging and playing.
Of course, the bigger capacity battery you get, the more money you will have to spend. Just depends on how much extra battery you want, and how much you are willing to pay.
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
