Yes, it would. When Boom Blox and Dead Space Extraction got higher average ratings, it's clear that an argument like yours shouldn't be made.

I think I should rephrase it to "inherently bad."  In order to get an average score of 75/100, people actually have to like the game.  Also, the userscore is 7.2, which isn't that far off.  A lot of the userreviews are probably also people who came in with high expectations.  

edit: I should mention that I am aware of the whole "reviewer gets paid to give a good review."  But honestly, I don't think that this happens with Nintendo IP's.
