No, I don't think anyone is so invested in a company that another one actually physically irks them. 

I hope not, anyway.

Technically no one is stopping anyone from buying a console. Psychologically some are just stuck to a brand and cannot stand when brands hurt their favorite brands chances of success, even subconsciously. Sony is the natural choice to hate for Nintendo, departed Sega remnants, and newly growing MS fans. Everyone hates a jack (Tretton) of all trades.
