I have to disagree there.. fans like me stuck it out through the N64 and Gamecube eras despite the dominance of Sony and the rise of the Xbox because we got genuinely amazing and groundbreaking games almost every year of their respective life spans.
Unfortunately I can't say the same for the Wii, which started off pretty good with Twilight Princess, Prime 3, Galaxy and Brawl (even though I loath Brawl for a number of reasons), and of course the phenomenon that was Wii Sports. After that things got pretty rocky for us long-time Ninty fans, with only a few bright spots here and there like Galaxy 2 and DKC returns. The Wii U seems to be continuing this trend of just offering more of the same, except it's suffering through an identity crisis, trying to please the "core" gamers why trying desperately to hold onto the casual crowd that has left for greener pastures, and this is a no-win situation for Nintendo.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
