They are food sellers. The article says they dont even stock pikmin 3. I guess its different in the US, but here in europe grocers usually carry only the bare minimum in console materials and they hardly sell anything at all. They are usually stashed in a little corner. This is only drama from the press. It will have little impact.

Thats a massive over simplification

Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury have a significant presense in the VG market.  Major grocers in the UK arent just food stores... not even close. they sell everything from beans to televisions.

First you say you have never herard of them and then you tell me that it isnt important.  You are wrong, it is important.

People buy a gaming system in a supermarket from impulse. I don't believe people go into a supermarket to buy a system. Games,perhaps. But not a console. 

And yes,they did say that about the One. But I remember seeing the same about the Wii U, and certainly from the 3DS, and yet they have dropped support for these two systems. You know as well as I that preorders can't be used to judge the long term success of a system. It merely paints a positive picture for Day One
