Because he seems like a nice guy and has done some incredible things in the video game industry.

That doesn't mean people need to worship the guy. 95 percent of the gaming community had no idea who this guy was or what he worked on up until a few months ago. Now people act like they knew his entire life story the entire time and put this guy in some GOD like status.

It ridiculous to watch grown adults act that way.
