I feel that we care for more on the graphics on 3DS titles than we did DS titles. Why is that?

DS's innovation (or special feature) was really about the stylus functionality and that was what gamers focused on. 3DS's new leap was its graphics (and 3D which is related). That's why the focus has been more on that as the controls and even the look of the console has been similar.
