The Wii version was built from the ground up, as will the next version.
Why did the Wii version not sell as well as the PS3 version? I can think of two reasons, one has already been mentioned, that the Wii had a more diverse line up at launch.
But the big one is online. Considering that it was missing one of the main selling points, the Wii version did pretty well I think.
