It was originally intended to run on 512 MEGABYTES of memory. If anything, a Wii U version might be technically superior because it has sufficient eDRAM to run 1080p and Cerny--you know, the PS4's designer--has admitted that eDRAM allows for better throughput than the PS4's unified RAM pool. Even assuming Square Enix is incredibly lazy and doesn't use the eDRAM at all, I have a hard time imagining the "gimping" being visible. More notably, however, is that gamepad. Even very crude porting will make it a much better menu than on the other systems. So yeah, FF XV on Wii U. Don't think it'll happen, but it's still a great idea. Kingdom Hearts 3? Psh. The Wii U won't even sweat. |
PS3 games ran on less than 512 MB of RAM. Keep in mind some of that RAM was dedicated to the OS.
