Why is there a problem with the Kinect always being plugged in? The Wii demands that you have the receiver plugged in at all times (hard to controlthe thing otherwise) and if you are afraid of the camera... well then i guess you are afraid of your phone, webcam or e-mail aswell?
Yes, the Kinect always awaits a command from you, but that of course does not mean it is destined to listen in on everything at your home. The system can be abused, but so can the PS4, your smartphone or, most likely, your email account.
So why are some of us XBox enthusiasts excited about Kinect? Personally, I always liked innovation in whatever form is came. I always felt that Sega dared to take chances with the industry, although most of them did not pan out as expected. Nintendo should be commended for the Wii and also MS for the original XBox. Kinect is another daring move and I will enjoy what kinds of experiences is brings.
