He wasn't superman yet in your first two examples, and besides I'm talking about in the midst of the huge city wide destruction. That is when I wanted to see him save people to offset the incredible amount of carnage that he was partaking in. Already explained why the crashing helicopter is not a good example. And saving lois lane is once again not what I'm talking about. He needed to be shown saving regular civilians (extras) during all this mass destruction. For example... in a much better choreographed fight scene from spiderman 2, spiderman is frequently breaking off from the fight to save random civilians that Doc Ock is putting in danger. This adds a greater level of suspense and nice action beats to the fight that the superman zod punchfest was lacking. |
You're just making excuses now, Superman saves plenty of people in this movie. The first examples don't count because he wasn't wearing the suit? Seriously?
The examples in while wearing suit don't count because he saved people by physically averting the bad guys? Damn you Superman for saving a jet pilot by catching the Kryptonian before he mashed it to pieces. Damn you for hitting Faora to save that colonel instead of just standing in front of him like a meatshield and taking the knife, or plucking him out of there so you can be exposed to a back attack. And what about that guy during the smallvile battle who was falling to his death and Superman caught him, stopped to ask if he was OK, and then quickly moved him out of harms way?
I mean come on.
