Just to make one thing clear: this RE has to be a remake, because the original had prerendered backgrounds, meaning the camera has to be fixed. Since it would be totally useless to do a port of a gamecube game, without implementing Wii controls, they will make the game fully 3D.
Graphically we only have to worry it doesn't look worse than the original, since prerendered graphics are of course techncally easier to be great than fully 3D ones. (REmake and Zero look better than RE4 imo).
I'm a little dissapointed they remake 0 and not 2+3, but I hope Capcom can add storyline, especially the Wesker part.
