The GameCube would be pretty much the perfect controller if the D-pad was bigger, there were two Z buttons and they weren't a pain to press, it had a SNES diamond shaped button layout, and the second analog stick was the same size as the first one.
That is the 360 pad sure, but I find the ergonomics of the GCN pad to be more comfy. I liked the Z-click on the analog triggers too.
