What you're saying is nonsense. No offence, but if Crysler made seriously defecting 300's, would you be as willing to buy a Sebring? No.

Same with Microsoft, they've already proven to us that they can and will violate our privacy. Just saying "we won't do it again" doesn't mean it won't happen. Microsoft is much more likely to violate our privacy then any other console manufacterer as it stands ATM.

MS didn't violate anything, they complied to govermental requests. if tomorrow the NSA contacts vgchartz with a court order and ask you to reveal all the private messages I sent on that site with valid ground, you do it and you stfu, it's not like you have the choice. So what MS did is pretty much what anybody does in the same situation they apply the law, if they can deny a request they do, if they can't they comply. simple as that

What valid ground was there in the PRISM Scandal? This is why it's called a Scandal, and Microsoft participating, just means that we can't trust them.

Microsoft, like VGC, is bound by contract to keep our information private, and if MS wanted to they could have made it a long and public process before they gave up private information. MS didn't fight for our security, they just gave away the keys to our privacy.

Meanwhile companies like Firefox are making a public petition to this, and making people aware that their "private browsing" is not private. Microsoft never did this, and still doesn't. You must be crazy to think that MS is going to put a sticker on your X-Box One console telling you who is watching you.

No, if MS wanted to agressively stop government spying, they would have designed the One where Kinect can be unplugged and turned off entirely. This way if NSA or anyone requests private information, they can't get it because they themselves can't access it. But no, Kinect always listens, and faces you. Sure there is a setting to filter what it's listening for, but how can you trust that after Microsofts involvement in the PRISM scandal?

Microsoft is not "agressively challenging" government spying, they just say they are.

People are so willing to forgive and forget.....I wish they didn't so many US companies would just die in a fire.
