Agree with all those software examples except the ports. Tired of ports. Wanna play 15 year old games? Buy the original and play it the way it was intended to be played.

Having said that, the 3DS is still killer. It's obvious handhelds are where Nintendo's focus is at. Can't go wrong.

Those aren't ports, a port is basically the exact same game on a different console, for Star Fox 64 and Ocarina of Time they completely remade the visuals and I think they look really good.  For Donkey Kong Country Returns they added new content that is not in the Wii version.

My definition of port is if it's the same game. You can clean the graphics up all you want, but it's the same game I played when I was 17. I still OWN the game and an N64 and when I want to play it again, I play it that way.

Now, if a port contains new levels, changes the control scheme or alters the game in similar ways, then it's not really even the same game and thus, I have no interest. I believe these old games should be experienced the way that they were first intended to played. It's very similar to what went on with Star Wars imo. Lucas changed those films SO much, that they feel like different movies in some regards. If you want to play Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid or OOT, get the original hardware, plug it into an old CRT and play them like they were meant to be played.

This is all my personal opinion BTW. You may feel completely different, and that's ok.
