NES = good but worse compared to Master System. I always liked the D-pad more and the best thing of it was it used a standard connection so it also could be used for Amiga, for example.
SNES = good but in my opinion lost to the 6-Button-Pad for Genesis. I hated the shoulder-buttons on SNES.
N64 = Awesome! I really liked while at first I thought it would be totally unusable but Nintendo proved me wrong. Also remember that we have to thank this controller for analog nowadays. And we have to hate BigN for it, too, because this made Sony feel to "upgrade" their controller to DS, the biggest ergonomic catastrophe in history of mankind :D no, jk...
GCN = Meh. Was ok but nothing that really stood out for me. But I have to admit I didn't play much on GC... Except the RE-reboots.
Wii = no idea, never played the classic controller. The vibrator-stuff was awesome, though :)
