•To participate, you must first register for the competition at the Pokémon Global Link (PGL).•Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the participant limit is reached, registration will be closed.•No one can enter the competition after it has begun. Prize

Players who enter the ranking of the 2013 Global Showdown will be given the ability to participate in a test Online Competition forPokémon X and Pokémon Y.

Conditions for Participation in the Test Competition•Players must enter the rankings of the 2013 Global Showdown.
NOTE: Players must complete a minimum of 5 matches to enter the rankings. Players with a high number of disconnects will be excluded from the rankings and will not be able to participate in the test competition.•Players must register a Game Sync ID for Pokémon X or Pokémon Y on the new version of the Pokémon Global Link, which will open in October. 
NOTE: The deadline for registration will be announced after the new version of the Pokémon Global Link opens. The test competition will take place before the end of 2013.Compatible Game CardsPokémon Black Version 2 or Pokémon White Version 2

Competition Rules•Battle Format: Single Battle•Rankings will be decided based on player Ratings at the end of the competition.•Players may use Pokémon found in the Pokémon Black Version 2 or Pokémon White Version 2National Pokédex, from No. 001–649.•The following Pokémon cannot be used in this competition: Chatot
•Pokémon may not hold the item Soul Dew.•Pokémon may not use the move Sky Drop or Dark Void during battle.•For details, check the Rules section.Participation Requirements•A Pokémon Trainer Club membership•A wireless Internet connection•A  Pokémon Black Version 2 or Pokémon White Version 2 Game Card with a Game Sync ID registered in the PGL•If you have registered both Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 to a single PGL account, please choose only one version to use in this competition.

 

Age DivisionPlayers competing in the 2013 Global Showdown will be divided into three age divisions:
•Junior Division: Born 2002 or later•Senior Division: Born 1998, 1999, 2000, or 2001•Masters Division: Born 1997 or earlier
