You're correct, putting them both in the same category can lead some to think that the Wii and PS3 are selling the same amount, if they have no ability to read the front page....or they're mentally handicapped.
But saying that it's like McCain and Ron Paul in Wisconsin leads some to think that the Wii is selling ten times that of Ron Paul, which is also blatantly false, so I think between the thread title making it seem like they're both winning and your analogy making it seem like the Wii is doing 90% of the sales between the two I think that about evens it up.
On topic a little better: I am impressed by the PS3's jump in sales, the Wii I'm less impressed by but only because it was a supply issue and I kind of expected it to jump back up after last week. Almost seems like Nintendo does a shipment of the things every two weeks by the disparity from week to week.
