Don't think it would help. Nintendo have two western game devs. at the moment. Retro and NST. Retro is making Donkey Kong and NST is making Mario vs. Donkey Kong. Both of the studios was started so that Nintendo would be able to make games for the western audiences. Worked in the start.
Nintendo need an attitude change, more than anything. But a few more western devs. wouldn't hurt.
