From a business perspective, it is sensible to try and maintain their income from year to year and not just have huge spikes. They can work on plenty of other games, but I think it is sensible to keep all these games separated.

Most gamers would agree that it is best to not release the games too frequently, so FF and KH alternating years would be good from that perspective. 

But this isn't like another CoD or Assassin Creed which are basically the same game but I get your point. Then at least a every 2 years cycle.

Of it doesn't help that in reality I'm just bitter, 12 in 2007 and 13 in 2010, that's all we've really had in 10 years. Sequals and online game just don't cut it when that's not what I want.

I get your point, but these games should feel epic, I remember Ubi said that an AC release should feel like an epic event that doesn't come too frequently, like GTA and I feel that FF should be the same (they obviously changed their minds)

I think everyone is dissapointed! X and XII were two of my favourite PS2 games (even if the latter only came a month before PS3), but XIII and its sequels, even though I enjoyed them more than most, never felt that special in the end. Even going back, the PS1 games feel epic and special and Squeenix needs to bring that back!

Or, just start a new series and make a nice turn based jRPG please!
