Yeah, all the superheroes and James Cameron's blue people can all take a seat. Star Wars, and it's not even close.

James Cameron beats Star Wars. Titanic was more popular than the original Star Wars movie (well, at least when it came out), and Avatar grossed more than the entire prequel trilogy put together.

And James Cameron can do sequels - Aliens and Terminator 2 prove this.
